100 percent of Cedar Crest College’s School of Nursing students who took the National Council Licensure Examination from Oct. 1, 2018 to Sept. 30, 2019, passed the exam. The NCLEX is a national test that all student nurses must pass in order to become a licensed registered nurse in the United States. The pass rates are reported by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
Cedar Crest’s pass rate is above the 2018-2019 national rate, which stands at 88.07 percent, as well as the Pennsylvania pass rate, which is 91.61 percent. Its 2018-2019 pass rate is also up from last year’s rate of 98 percent.
“Cedar Crest’s School of Nursing takes a holistic approach to education,” said Dr. Wendy Robb, Dean of the School of Nursing. “We combine strong academics with real-world experiences. Our approach transforms students into nurse leaders and that is also clear in our outstanding NCLEX results.”
