About a year after the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem added live stadium gaming, the casino has added the popular game of blackjack to its offerings.
Previously, the live stadium gaming section had roulette and baccarat.
With the addition of blackjack, Sands Bethlehem now has the nation’s largest live electronic table games installation.
This is a separate stadium from the casino’s 150-seat roulette and baccarat stadium. The new 44-seat stadium offers guests a seat at a touchscreen which connects them to two live dealers.
Julia Corwin, spokeswoman for the casino, said “live dealer electronic table games are popular because it allows guests to play at their own pace and in a less intimidating environment.”
In the live electronic table games, dealers deal card games in the same way they do traditional card games, except gamblers will be on computer terminals rather than playing with a hand of cards. Roulette wheel tables have a computer monitor for betting versus placing chips on a table.
Bets are made and wins paid off electronically through the terminal.
According to the Sands, the benefits to customers are there are lower table-game minimum bets and players can follow the trends on multiple tables.
The minimum bet for blackjack on the gaming system is $5.
The hybrid gaming experience lets players wager concurrently on up to two games at once and also place side bets.
“This offering will give our guests an exciting new way to play one of the world’s most popular casino games,” said Brian Carr, president and chief operating officer of Sands Bethlehem.
