The historic Sterling Hotel in Allentown has been sold for $1.55 million.
The owners of the Deja Vu restaurant and nightclub that fills two of the property’s levels recently bought the building from Dave Bodnar.
“When we learned that the owner, Dave Bodnar, wanted to sell the building, we told him not to list it because we wanted to buy it,” said Osiris “Tito” Guzman, manager of the business and the building.
The new owners of the property are Sterling Hotel LLC, Ana Valentin and Gloria Cruz.
They said in a press release that they would continue to operate the nightclub and upgrade the living spaces in the three-story building as tenants move out.
The new owners also have plans to convert the warehouse space in the building to additional apartments, Guzman said.
Lehigh Financial Group LLC of Allentown arranged the financing that made the sale possible. The sale closed Nov. 30.
The Sterling Hotel, at 343 Hamilton St. in Allentown, was built in 1890.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
