Headquartered in Douglassville, American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) provides custom-manufactured material handling solutions and is a leading manufacturer of overhead cranes and hoists. In addition to its family-owned status, ACECO is a certified women-owned business.
ACECO was founded in 1972 by Oddvar Norheim, the father of current owners Karen Norheim and Stephanie Delibertis.
“He migrated from Norway with nothing and built the Douglassville, Pennsylvania-based company from the ground up through tenacity and hard work,” the company stated. “His vision, his direction and his planning grew the company, with the decision-making driven by him entirely. Its success continues to be his American Dream come to reality.”
In 2021, Karen Norheim became CEO and president of the company, with Stephanie Delibertis sharing ownership as owner and executive director of outreach and development.

The company employs over 200 people.
