Mechanicsburg-based Appalachia Technologies is hosting a cybersecurity summit for business leaders.
Appalachia Advance2023, to be held at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville Nov. 2, will be led by Appalachia’s cybersecurity experts and community leaders to update and educate attendees on the latest threats to organizational security and ways to solve them.
The full-day free event for business owners, CIOs, CISOs, and IT security leaders will offer workshops and general talks on executive and technical topics, Appalachia said.
“This event is designed to benefit an organization’s entire team, from executive to technical staff,” said Terri Bendl, vice president of Sales and Marketing at Appalachia. “We encourage companies to bring their key team members for a day of learning and networking with other businesses in our community.”
Joshua Copeland, security director at AT&T, will kick off the event and FBI Special Agent Daniel A. Sherry will discuss current threats and attacks and when a business should engage the FBI.
