Plum Creek Farm LLC received a $400,000 low-interest loan through the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) to build a 4,800-square-foot pretzel manufacturing facility at 5035 Bernville Road in Penn Township, Berks County.

The loan through the Greater Berks Development Fund, a five-year loan at a 3.5% fixed interest rate, is part of PIDA’s effort to support business growth and help create and retain jobs, according to the Wolf administration.

The total project cost is $1,074,400 and the company has committed to creating 15 new, full-time jobs and retaining 16 jobs within three years. The company previously received a $1 million PIDA in 2019.

Gov. Tom Wolf announced the approval of the loan along with two others in the state Wednesday.

“Ensuring companies across the commonwealth have the ability to grow and expand is vital to our economy, our communities, and our livelihoods,” said Wolf. “The PIDA loans approved today will provide the resources needed for these companies to continue to see success here in Pennsylvania.”
