A.L. Bazzini Co. Inc. of Upper Macungie Township bought 1530 Eighth Ave. in Bethlehem next to Wawa for slightly more than $6 million.
Kevin Thorton, CFO of A.L. Bazzini Co. Inc., confirmed the sale this morning. The company bought the building from Eighth Avenue Professional Associates LP of Bethlehem.
A.L. Bazzini is a nut and dried fruit manufacturer with headquarters and a facility on Mill Road in Upper Macungie. Thorton said the Eighth Avenue building is fully occupied and leased and the company will continue the building’s existing operations.
Andrew Randolph, a sales and leasing agent with ALT Realty LLC of Bethlehem, said he represented the seller in the sale of the property, which closed on Aug. 31. The building, which is 20,008 square feet, is occupied by St. Luke’s University Health Network as a main tenant and People First Federal Credit Union, which has a branch in the building, Randolph said.
“It was an off-market transaction, strictly investment-based,” Randolph said. “The property was not being actively marketed.”
Doug Frederick, broker/owner of Howard Hanna The Frederick Group of South Whitehall Township, represented the buyer, Randolph said
