For 39 years, Builders Door & Hardware, Inc. has supplied Eastern PA and surrounding areas with commercial doors, frames, hardware and toilet partitions. Mike Richard founded the company in 1986 after working in the field for a decade.
“Entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and Mike Richard realized that he’d prefer to work 100 hours a week for himself rather than work 40 hours a week for someone else,” the company stated.
In 2000, Mike’s oldest son, Chuck Richard, began working for the company, updating old processes and integrating new technology to streamline workflows and inventory management. In 2008, Ryan Richard joined the team and began restructuring outdated administrative processes. Now, Chuck Richard became president of Builders Door & Hardware, Inc.
“Builders Door & Hardware, Inc. prides itself on family values,” the company stated. “We are large enough to handle any size job, yet small enough to give you personal attention. Our owners and employees relate to each other on a personal level and love to see everyone succeed, not only in business but in life in general and help each other both inside and outside of the workspace.”
The company diversifies itself across multiple sectors of the construction industry, including new construction in the industrial warehouse space, hospitals, schools, churches, offices and retrofit solutions.
