Cambridge-Lee names new CEO

Dan Erck, executive vice president of the industrial metals division, will lead the company headquartered in Ontelaunee Township. Erck has been with Cambridge-Lee for 33 years.

He succeeds Andrea J. Funk, one of the few women to lead a manufacturing company. Cambridge-Lee earns nearly $500 million in annual revenue and has 500 employees.

Funk announced her resignation last week but will remain to assist with the transition and “bring closure to a number of our strategic initiatives,” the company said in a news release.

Funk joined Cambridge-Lee in 2010 as chief financial officer and treasurer and was named CEO in 2013.

Cambridge-Lee has been expanding for more than a decade. In 2013, the company completed a 195,000-square-foot facility where it produces thin-wall copper tube components for air conditioning units and added 250 new workers. It opened a distribution center next to its Reading plant in 2006.

“We are grateful to Andi Funk for her leadership and dedication, which has helped us to build the customer relationships and company culture we have today, and wish her all the best as she ventures into new business opportunities,” Erck said in a statement.

Founded in 1942, Cambridge-Lee has become a leading international manufacturer and distributor of copper products for plumbing, construction and heating, ventilation and air conditioning industries. In 1993, Cambridge-Lee was bought by Industrias Unidas S.A. de C.V. of Mexico.

“Our focus will continue to be on our customers, and we will continue to build on this cornerstone of our company’s success for our employees and our ownership, IUSA,” Erck said.
