A new Home Depot store will soon be coming to the Lehigh Valley.
RD Management LLC said that construction has begun on The Home Depot at Macungie Crossing, a new community shopping center in Trexlertown.
The development, which is less than a mile from the Hamilton Crossings shopping centre, is expected to have 182,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.
The new 136,000-square-foot Home Depot store, which will feature a garden center, is slated to open this summer.
“The Home Depot opening at Macungie Crossing is a great win for local community members needing a close, convenient option for their home improvement and construction projects,” said Richard Birdoff, principal and president of RD Management. “It’s also an important sign of what’s to come at the center as we work diligently to bring additional opportunities for retailers and restaurants to join the market.”
Macungie Crossing is located in Lehigh County at the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard and Grange Road.
Nearby retailers include Costco, Target, and Whole Foods, and the planned Home Depot will also be in close proximity to the Walmart Supercenter off Mill Creek Road.
Birdoff noted that there are still retail, restaurant and fast-food opportunities at the center, with spaces ranging from 3,000 to 20,000 square feet.
