Coordinated Health and Atlantic Health System will open an ambulatory surgery center in November in Lopatcong Township, N.J., the health networks announced.
The joint venture is the first collaboration between the two health care networks.
Coordinated Health, a for-profit health network based in South Whitehall, will manage the day-to-day operations of the outpatient surgery center at 212 Red School Lane, located next to Coordinated’s medical office building that opened in 2015.
The 21,507-square-foot Phillipsburg Ambulatory Surgery Center will include outpatient surgery in dentistry, ophthalmology, general surgery, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry and urology.
“Warren County patients can now stay close to home to receive high-quality surgical care,” Amy Nyberg, president and COO of Coordinated Health, said in a statement.
The facility will be Coordinated’s third ambulatory surgical center. Coordinated owns and operates health care facilities in the Lehigh Valley and Western New Jersey, including two hospitals, six walk-in care facilities and an inpatient rehabilitation center.
Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health System, is a nonprofit health network that operates six hospitals, 11 urgent care centers, rehabilitation and home care and hospice facilities in Northern and Central New Jersey.
