CH’s gynecology, breast care and plastic surgery services are now housed under one roof at its Allentown campus, 1405 N. Cedar Crest Blvd. The new health center will be home to five physicians and one aesthetician.
CH is relocating its Breast Care Center, which includes mammography imaging services, from its Integrated Health Campus, 250 Cetronia Road, South Whitehall, over the next several months to the North Cedar Crest Boulevard facility which already was used for gynecological and plastic surgery services.
CH will not be renewing its lease at Integrated Health Campus after it expires in a few months, said Florence Brown, digital and public relations manager for CH.
The Breast Health Center occupied two floors and was Coordinated Health’s only medical office at that building.
The idea behind the Women’s Health Center was to help women save time by making one-stop shopping for their annual gynecological and mammogram appointments, Brown said.
“It’s super exciting for us,” she said.
“Women often have a lot of annual exams spread out through the year. They have to keep track of them, and it’s kind of a nuisance,” Brown said. Women can roll their appointments into one day and not have to travel to another by location, she said.
Plastic surgery and aesthetician services were added to the renovated 14,000-square-foot office suite to create a more spa-like atmosphere, she said.
The center occupies one floor in a building that houses other CH medical offices. It is next to two other CH buildings, including its Allentown Hospital.
The Women’s Health Center’s grand opening will be 6-8 p.m. June 24.
