Pottstown-based Diamond Credit Union will open its seventh branch in October.
The credit union said it would open a 4,560-square-foot branch in Muhlenberg Township, Berks County, at 4453 Fifth St. Highway.
Rob Hackash, marketing manager for Diamond Credit Union, said the growth of the company’s Wyomissing location influenced its decision to open another site in Berks.
“We have a strong membership base already in that area,” Hackash said. “We are hoping the Muhlenberg branch takes some of that volume there.”
The new branch will have eight to 10 employees and Renee Huie will be the branch manager.
Last year, Diamond Credit Union opened its sixth branch in Royersford, Montgomery County.
ER Stuebner of Reading is the construction firm that built the new branch and KZF Design of Cincinnati, Ohio, is the architect, Hackash said.
