Reading-based Entech Engineering, Inc. (Entech) has named Robert Weir president.

He will take over Sept. 28 following the retirement of Jeffrey Euclide.

Robert Weir

Weir started with Entech as a construction observer 24 years ago and joined the leadership team as a principal in 2008. He has served as executive vice president since 2016, as well as overseeing the Civil and Environmental Resources group.

During his time at Entech, the company has grown from a few dozen employees in 1998 to more than 150 employees in 2022, Entech said.

“We are delighted to see Bob move into the role of president,” said Euclide. “During his tenure at Entech, he has worked his way through the organization and proven himself to be an adept and humble leader, earning the respect of the entire organization.”

“It has been an amazing journey being able to help build the firm that we are today and I’m excited to lead this ever-expanding group of professionals as we enter the next chapter of this great company,” Weir said. “The foundation of Entech was built on a burning desire to make a positive difference for our clients, in the lives of our employees, and the communities and industries that we serve. We will continue to build upon this culture and reshape the future.”

Weir is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and West Virginia. He earned his associate degree in electrical engineering and bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Penn State University.

He is a member of several professional organizations including the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers (PSPE), American Society Robert Weir, P.E. of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
