Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, CliftonLarsonAllen and more name new hires, promotions

Accounting
CliftonLarsonAllen LLC, which has an office in Hanover Township, Northampton County, named Spencer Bahel-Mowrer BizOps chief financial officer, retail. Kim Black, Mike Bonavita and Merrily Weld were named BizOps seniors, retail. Harley Frace was named BizOps assistant controller, retail. Diane Hobbie was named senior, nonprofit. Sean Ianelli was named senior, manufacturing and distribution. Lynn Olanoff was named senior copywriter, enterprise business solutions. Ryan Ravitsky was named director, real estate.
 

Associations
Berks County-based Greater Reading Chamber Alliance announced the retirement of President and CEO Jim Gerlach, effective at the end of 2023.
 

Estate Planning Council of the Lehigh Valley elected Tammie Yearwood president and Rebecca Laumann a board member. Yearwood is a certified public accountant and signing director with the Bethlehem office of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP and focuses her practice on estate, trust and gift tax compliance. Laumann is a CPA and a senior with the Bethlehem office of CliftonLarsonAllen and primarily focuses on individuals and trusts.
 

Government
Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission named Sonny Popowsky, Carl W. Bailey and Sylvia P. Simms, all of Philadelphia, to its Consumer Advisory Council. Timothy B. Hennessey of Chester County was named the council’s chair. Popowsky is chair of the City of Philadelphia Water, Sewer and Stormwater Rate Board and an advisory board member of the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy of the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, Popowski was Pennsylvania consumer advocate. Bailey has more than 35 years of community development and small business growth experience and serves on Pennsylvania’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program advisory committee. Simmsis founder of Parent Power, which helps get families more involved in their children’s education, and a housing support coach for SELF Inc. Hennesseyis a partner in H&H Marketing Group LLC.
 

Allentown City Council confirmed the appointment of Jack Gross as city solicitor. Gross will lead the legal department and be the chief legal adviser to the mayor and city departments. Gross is managing partner of Gross McGinley LLP and practices municipal law. Nadeem Shahzad was confirmed as director of human resources. Shahzad will oversee the human resources department and support contract negotiations, labor management, arbitrations and grievances.
 

Health care
Valley Preferred, the physician hospital organization affiliated with South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County-based Lehigh Valley Health Network, named Dr. Amy A. Jibilian chief wellness officer for both organizations. Jibilian will oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of programs and protocols designed to optimize the wellness, culture and working environment for physicians and advanced practice clinicians at health network hospitals and medical practices.
 

Media
Reading, Berks County-based Berks Community Television elected EmmaRose Strohl vice chair of its board. Strohl is an attorney with the food and agribusiness industry group of Lancaster-based Barley Snyder and works with clients on compliance issues with state and federal agencies.
 

Nonprofits
Warminster Township, Bucks County-based Planned Parenthood Keystone named Katelyn Rohrbaugh a board member. Rohrbaugh is an attorney with Lancaster-based Barley Snyder and a member of its litigation and real estate practice groups. Rohrbaugh is also part of the higher education and hospitality industry groups.
