Here’s what Trader Joe’s is looking for in a new location, and why it’s not (yet) in the Lehigh Valley

A Facebook group and a MoveOn petition have amassed followings in an attempt to draw Trader Joe’s to the Lehigh Valley. But it takes more than a petition to attract Trader Joe’s, a much-desired privately held company that doesn’t typically discuss its business strategy. The Morning Call talked to several national and local retail experts, who described Trader Joe’s as a chain that hits its numbers and doesn’t sacrifice its famed culture as it expands.
