Loyack has served as president of Alvernia University since July 2019.
“In my corporate career, ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange is a highlight,” he said. “Also, helping to turn around my alma mater, King’s College, and then re-energize the city I grew up in, Wilkes Barre, are near the top. I’m excited to do the same with Alvernia as we implement the Reading CollegeTowne initiative.”
Loyack has learned to listen. “Early in my executive career, I was just awful at it and it cost me, but once you learn that lesson, you never forget it,” he said.
He enjoys playing golf, riding motorcycles and collecting wine, scotch and bourbon and enjoying them with an occasional cigar. He also cherishes the time spent traveling the world with his partner, Theresa, and his three children.
