President
Muhlenberg College
Harring was named interim president in June 2019 and appointed president June 2020. She is responsible for guiding the college’s strategic vision and planning, marshaling financial support and other resources for the institution, and overseeing all aspects of daily operations.
“Community and collaboration are hallmarks of Muhlenberg and this was never more apparent than during this past year. It was incredibly humbling and rewarding to be in a position to guide and channel these strengths to overcome the challenges and uncertainties that this year has brought all of us.”
A life lesson to pass on? “Challenges are opportunities to reflect on your experiences and to learn new knowledge and skills.”
For relaxing, “I’ve always enjoyed reading and there’s nothing better than sitting outside in my Muhlenberg red Adirondack reading a good book and drinking a cup of tea. My husband and I love to travel and explore other countries. In the past year, we’ve spent time hiking in the mountains or taking walks in the park.”
