Kristine Roddick
Partner, Chair of Special Education Law Practice Group
KingSpry
Kristine Roddick, a former managing partner, has been a partner at KingSpry for 14 years.
She described her leadership style as “all hands on deck.” “I do not believe one person is solely responsible for leading an organization. All members should have some sort of input, responsibility and accountability regarding the organization’s health, mission and future.”
Her career in the law came about because “I was at the right place at the right time,” Roddick said. “I began working for an attorney who was the solicitor for two of the four school districts in Monroe County, so I became immersed in school law. When I was in law school, there were no school law or education law courses. I did not even know what a ‘solicitor’ was! School law has been the perfect niche for me. It is varied enough to keep your interest, but limited enough to permit you to develop a wealth of experience helping your clients.”
For enjoyment, she loves to scuba dive and travel.
