Venture X, a membership-based co-working space, plans to open its first location in Pennsylvania in South Bethlehem this March.

A day after announcing it would lay off more than 300 workers, Mack Trucks was able to show off what may be a vehicle of the future.

Allentown will use a $70,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Grant to help pay consulting costs associated with its Allentown Vision 2030 Comprehensive and Economic Development Plan.

A nationwide trucking and transportation business will lease an additional facility in Schuylkill Haven.  Evans Network of Companies, which employs close to 400 people and operates a fleet of 7,000 trucks, will lease a property at 100 W. Columbia St., while maintaining its national headquarters in Schuylkill Haven, located less than a mile away, also on Columbia Street. 

Construction continues on the Heritage Riverview project in downtown Easton. With Hearst Magazines planning to move in this summer, officials hope the property across from the Easton Intermodal Center and City Hall on South Third Street.

Mack Trucks has informed employees that it will lay off 305 people at its Lehigh Valley operations in Lower Macungie Township because of lower demand.

The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority approved two economic development loans for $400,000 each for projects in Berks County. One loan will help RanShar Farms in Tilden Township. The other loan was granted to Nevin and Stella Burkholder for the acquisition of a 102 acres at 1302 Pleasant Hill Road, Maidencreek Township.

A $1 million grant program created to enhance the long-term health and vitality of Pennsylvania’s family farms was introduced Wednesday in front of hundreds of public officials at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.
