Lehigh Valley Physician Group is re-opening more than 50 LVPG practices across the Valley.
The Lehigh Valley Health Network implemented a temporary closure and relocation of more than 120 offices due to the coronavirus in early April. As cases of COVID-19 level off, the decision has been made to begin reopening them, the network announced.
To abide by social distancing requirements, patient arrival times will be staggered, and patients will be required to wear masks and stay in their car until the time of their appointment. Upon entering the offices, patients will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.
LVPG staff members will also have their temperatures taken at the start of every shift, and rigorous cleaning procedures will be in place, according to LVPG chief medical officer Dr. Jennifer Stephens,.
