Lehigh Valley Public Media (LVPM) has entered into a multi-year naming rights agreement with Univest Financial Corp. for Univest’s facility on the Steel Stacks campus, South Bethlehem.
The deal will rename the organization’s 29,000-square-foot multimedia facility the “Univest Public Media Center.” A sign will be in place by May.
“We are extremely pleased to partner with Univest as we continue to impact thousands of lives through the power of public media,” said Tim Fallon, CEO of LVPM’s PBS39 and 91.3 WLVR. “Our organizations share a common sense of dedication to our community, and we are excited to work together on making the Lehigh Valley better tomorrow than it is today.”
Originally opened in July 2011, the venue has hosted hundreds of episodes of locally produced PBS programming as well as TEDx talks, political debates and community events over the years. The building, which sits on land that was a gift from BethWorks, was designed by URS Architects, and the construction project was managed by Alvin H Butz.
“Univest firmly believes in giving back to the communities we serve and is proud to be partnering with PBS39 and 91.3 WLVR. Their mission to make our community better tomorrow than it is today aligns with Univest’s 145-year history of serving the financial and philanthropic needs of the local community,” said Mike Keim, president of Univest Bank and Trust Co. “We are excited to invest in the future of the Lehigh Valley and look forward to the positive impact that will come out of the Univest Public Media Center.”
The funds garnered from the sponsorship will help support core education programs and initiatives, while also maintaining and growing LVPM’s commitment to local television and radio programming.
