Pektor became regional president of PennCap and launched ALT Realty in 2011. She’s been president of PennCap Properties since 2013.
Her responsibilities include overseeing the leasing, management and development of the portfolio, which consists of 1.4 million square feet of office and flex industrial space. She also coordinates and implements the companies’ strategic direction, along with lender and investor relations.
Pektor said she is proud of “finding the right team of people who work together on a daily basis in order to make the portfolio function like a well-oiled machine. There has been a lot of effort put into defining the areas of accountability and limits of authority, to empower each person in their role.”
“Real estate is an art form,” she added. “Real estate transactions can take several months or even years to make something happen, so having perseverance and a forward-thinking vision of a final product are essential keys to motivating and directing a project team.”
For fun, Pektor said she enjoys pursuits that “provide instant feedback or gratification,” such as shooting, beekeeping, gardening or hiking.
