LVHN opens LVHN ExpressCARE at Palmerton

Listen to this articleLehigh Valley Health Network has opened the health network’s second Carbon County ExpressCARE, a walk-in urgent care clinic, in Palmerton. Carbon County’s other ExpressCare is in Lehighton.
LVHN ExpressCare Palmerton, at 528 Delaware Ave., is designed to care for minor emergencies and illnesses such as sprains and strains, lacerations, poison ivy, flu, ear infections, fever and other similar health care needs.
The Palmerton location will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends.
“We are excited to increase Carbon County’s access to care through the opening of ExpressCARE–Palmerton,” said Dr. David Burmeister, chair of LVHN’s department of emergency and hospital medicine. “ExpressCARE offers convenience for people who need walk-in care for common illnesses and minor injuries at a moment’s notice.”
LVHN currently operates 21 ExpressCARE locations throughout the Lehigh Valley.
