Anthony McCloskey, the director of aviation for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be on hand for a ceremony next Tuesday to begin the Hangar 11 project.
The airport authority received a $6 million grant from the PennDOT Bureau of Aviation to assist with the project.
Hangar 11 will be a 54,000-square-foot structure which will be used to house corporate jets. This is the first new hangar to be built at the airport since 2006.
The new hangar is part of a master plan to reinvest in the airport, including upgrades and new facilities.
