Vita Medical Associates, P.C., will occupy 6,800 square feet on the second floor of Gateway at Greenway Park in South Bethlehem.
The tenant is the latest to join the six-story office building nearing completion at the corner of Third and New streets.
Jody King, vice president of CBRE, said she signed the tenant, which is an independent medical group celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The medical practice specializes in gastroenterology, hematology/oncology and medical oncology.
The group will move from Fountain Hill into its new space Dec. 1, she said.
“They like the whole South Side feel, they want to walk around, they really wanted to support South Bethlehem,” King said. “They like to give their patients a serene atmosphere, a calming presence.”
Vita Medical will have 17 employees and occupy space on the second floor in the northeast corner of the building, King said.
The medical group also will use Quadratus Construction Management Inc. of Whitehall, the project’s construction manager, to build out the space, and Howard Kulp Architects of Allentown, to design it, she said. Howard Kulp also designed the Gateway building.
King said she has 8,000 square feet available for lease on the first floor and 2,000 square feet available on the second floor.
The building is at 306 S. New St.
Anchor tenants Lehigh University and St. Luke’s University Health Network began moving services into the building earlier this year.
St. Luke’s occupies the third floor with obstetrics and gynecology services and pediatric specialties and will open a family care office on Oct. 1.
Lehigh University occupies floors four and five, having relocated several offices to the building, including its development and alumni relations office, human resources and university business services.
