Myers Emergency & Power Systems in Bethlehem, a provider of emergency power solutions, celebrated the grand opening of its new manufacturing facility Wednesday.
The facility is dedicated to the production of the company’s EnerShed Battery Energy Storage Systems.
The 50,000-square-foot facility will create more skilled manufacturing jobs and support growth throughout the domestic supply chain. The factory represents a multi-million-dollar investment in American energy manufacturing capabilities, said John Daly, CEO of Myers Emergency & Power Systems.
“This new facility signifies more than just expanding our operations – it’s a testament to our belief in American manufacturing excellence and our commitment to strengthening the nation’s energy resilience,” said Daly. “By producing our EnerShed systems here in Pennsylvania, we’re creating vital jobs while ensuring critical infrastructure has access to reliable, American-made power solutions.”
The EnerShed BESS product line provides essential backup power and grid support for critical infrastructure including hospitals, data centers, telecommunications, and utilities.
Daly said that with increased grid vulnerabilities and the rising adoption of renewable energy sources, battery storage systems have become vital components of America’s energy security strategy.
Myers EPS’s decision to expand its American manufacturing footprint comes amid growing concerns about foreign dependence in the energy technology supply chain.
By producing these systems domestically, Myers helps reduce reliance on overseas manufacturing while ensuring customers receive the highest quality products with faster delivery times and responsive support.
“Energy storage is the backbone of a resilient, modern grid,” said John Rimbos, vice president of sales and marketing. “By manufacturing these systems domestically, we’re not only creating jobs but also strengthening supply chain security for technologies that are vital to our nation’s critical infrastructure.”
