Foot Solutions of Palmer Township is growing. After nine years in business, John and Stephanie Garrity are expanding their business into a second franchise store in Allentown.
Foot Solutions, founded in 2000, is an international franchise retailer with more than 130 stores throughout the nation and abroad, specializing in personalized assessments, footwear and custom-crafted arch supports.
John is a certified pedorthist and Stephanie is a certified shoe-fitter. They are trained to assess each customer’s foot, stance and gait.
Through the use of high-tech scanning equipment, they can analyze and test for pressure points to offer individualized solutions.

A Planet Fitness is heading to Nazareth. The franchise fitness centers already has two locations in Allentown as well as in Reading, Pottstown and Doylestown.
The new club is owned by Milan Dalsania, will open in mid-March and is at 859 Nazareth Pike next to the Giant Food Store. It has a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for March 30.
The clubs bill themselves as a “judgment free zone” and offer monthly rates starting at $10.
The club is about 20,500 square feet. It offers cardio machines and strength equipment, locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs and tanning.
The club will be open and staffed 24 hours a day from Monday at 5 a.m. through Friday at 9 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
