NEW VENTURES: In-home personal-training franchise opens in Lehigh Valley

Stacy Wescoe//March 7, 2016

GymGuyz, an in-home mobile, personal training and fitness franchise company, is now in the Lehigh Valley.

A franchise has been opened by Aaron Behrens, a local trainer who has owned a number of regional health clubs, including a current partnership in the City Fitness Clubs in Philadelphia.

GymGuyz services include strength training, nutrition counseling, senior fitness, youth and teen fitness, athlete training, pool fitness and massage at a client’s home.

Trainers also offer group classes and can provide on-site corporate fitness.

“We have great flexibility in that [clients] don’t have to come to us for training; we go to them and that can be at home, at work, in a park,” said Behrens, who will have a staff of personal trainers.

Work begins with a fitness and nutrition assessment, and the company keeps track of customers’ progress with reassessments every 15 weeks.

“The big thing is making it fun so people want to do it,” he said.

Rental company opens third location in region

O.R.E. Rentals, which has its original store in Quakertown, now has a third location, in Upper Macungie Township.

George Blobe, general manager for the company, which rents construction, automotive and lawn equipment for contractors and homeowners, said the business is open on Route 100 on the former site of a Toyota dealership.
