Northampton County approves $2.8 million in grants for nonprofits and municipalities

Northampton County Council approved about $2.8 million for 87 Grow NORCO grants for non-profit organizations and municipalities at its October meeting.
Lamont McClure and the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) said grants of up to $50,000 can be used for capital improvements, façade programs, operations, community planning and municipal police department support.
All projects from this latest round of funding must be completed by December 31, 2022.
“The County of Northampton appreciates all the work our local non-profit organizations, municipalities and police departments have done throughout the pandemic,” McClure said. “It’s important that the county continues to support their contributions to our public health and economic development.”
