Stacy Wescoe//June 8, 2023

Northampton County is looking for qualified construction contractors and subcontractors for its planned Whole Home Repair Program.

The county is requesting that interested parties submit their qualifications to help it establish a list of pre-qualified contractors for the program.

The Whole Home Repairs Program will provide homeowners in the county with funding to address habitability and safety concerns in their home and provide measures to improve energy or water efficiency. Funds can also be used to make units accessible for individuals with disabilities in owner occupied properties.

The program will provide grants of up to $20,000 per unit. Homeowners who qualify for the program cannot have household income that exceeds 80% of the total area median income.

The program is being funded by federal funds from the COVID-19 Response Restricted Account.

Contractors are asked to submit qualifications to be considered for future projects.

Submissions should describe qualifications, prior construction and rehabilitation experience, financial capability, and a description of past projects they have completed which are similar to  proposed projects.

Qualifications submitted in response to this RFQ must be submitted in writing to:

Marek Tomanek deputy director Northampton County Department of Community and Economic Development 2801 Emrick Blvd., Bethlehem, PA 18020.
