More than half of Pennsylvania’s 1,550 COVID-19 deaths — 952 — were residents of nursing or personal care facilities, the state Department of Health reports.
State health officials also reported another 1,116 additional positive cases from COVID-19 on April 26, bringing the state total to 41,165.
Some 157,428 patients have tested negative for the virus to date.
Here’s a breakdown by age of patients who have tested positive:
Most of the patients hospitalized are aged 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in the same age bracket. There have been no pediatric deaths. More data is available here.
