PALCB opens lottery for fine bourbons, whiskeys

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control board is once again holding a lottery for customers who wish to purchase a number of highly sought-after bourbons and whiskeys.

Seven different brands and a total of 338 bottles will be made available through the lottery system.

Lottery one features two bottles of Teeling Vintage Reserve 29 Year 92 proof, which was limited to 100 bottles. Each 750 milliliter bottle is $2,499.99. One will be for an individual consumer one for licensees.

Lottery Two features five bottles of Eagle Rare Double Eagle Very Rare Straight Bourbon 90 Proof, four of which will be available to individuals and one for licensees. The feature crystal eagles on the hand-blown bottle with one as a stopper and one inside the bottle. Each 750 milliliter bottle is $1,999.99.

Lottery three features 15 bottles of O.F.C. Bourbon 1993 90 Proof, with 12 for individuals and three for licensees. All are set in crystal and coper decanters. Each 750 milliliter bottle is $24,999.99

Lottery four features 16 bottles of Mister Sam Tribute Whiskey 133.8 Proof, with 12 for individuals and four for licensees. The Whiskey is a tribute to Sam Bronfman, who created some of Seagram’s most iconic spirit brands. Each 750 milliliter bottle is $299.99.

Lottery five features 22 bottles of Buffalo Trace Distillery Experimental Collection Seasoned Stave Experiment 48 Months 9 Year 90 Proof. There are 17 for individuals and 5 for licensees. Each 375 milliliter bottle is $49.99.

Lottery six features 38 bottles of Buffalo Trace Distillery Experimental Collection Seasoned Stave Experiment 36 Months 9 Year 90 Proof. There are 29 for individuals and 9 for licensees. Each $375 milliliter bottle is $49.99.

Lottery seven features 240 bottles of Weller Bourbon 12 Year 90 Proof with 180 bottles for individuals and 60 bottles for licensees. Each 750 milliliter bottle is $39.99

Pennsylvania residents and licensees have until 11 p.m. Saturday, July 6, to opt in to one or more of seven separate lotteries, which allows the winner to purchase one bottle of spirits at retail value.

Lotteries are open to Pennsylvania residents and PLCB license holders over the age of 21. Those entering the lottery must register at FineWineAndGoodSpirits.com.

Drawings will be conducted the week of July 8. Winners will be notified by July 31.
