Jerdon Construction Services of Upper Macungie Township has completed work on an addition to Dorneyville Pharmacy at 3330 Hamilton Blvd. in South Whitehall Township.
The structure, originally built in 1959, now has a 2,400-square-foot second story, which includes a clean room for compounding medicine, a lunchroom and additional workspace.

The owner wanted the addition to expand the pharmacy’s compounding area, where it makes customized medications for human and animal patients.
“We maintained operations throughout the duration of the project,” said Ron Jerdon, president of Jerdon Construction.
The entire project took five months to complete, he added.
He declined to disclose the cost of the project.
