Fluortek Inc. of Palmer Township, which earned an investment of $25,000 from Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania last year, is setting its sights on a second production facility.
The company manufactures customized, high-precision extruded plastic tubing for the medical device industry.
John Botti, founder of Fluortek, recently bought a 20,295-square-foot building in Palmer Township at 3370 Fox Hill Road for $1.4 million, according to Northampton County property records.
Matt Macdonald of the Markward Group in Upper Macungie Township represented Fluortek as a buyer agent in the transaction, according to a news release.
Fluortek plans to open its second production facility in the new building by this summer and is hiring for 25 additional positions, including extruder operator, quality technician and components/assembly operator.
The company began in 1980.
