The buyer of a fitness and racquet club facility in East Stroudsburg is planning to increase the center’s focus on tennis instruction.
Hamilton Nostrun Realty LLC of Somerset, N.J., bought Pocono Wellness & Sports Center from Pocono Health Club Inc. for $715,000, said George Vlamis, managing partner of KW Commercial, The Daniel Perich Group, of Stroudsburg. KW Commercial facilitated the transaction; Vlamis said he represented the buyer and seller.
Pocono Wellness is a 34,368-square-foot fitness and racquet club facility next to Eagle Valley Mall and Skylanes Bowling.
Vlamis said the new owner is looking to make improvements and upgrades over time, but will focus more on tennis. Equipment will be updated and the layout and infrastructure will be improved, including a full length basketball and racquetball courts.
The new focus is reflected in the new name, which will change to MoR’ Tennis and Fitness Club.
The fitness club will have group exercise classes, as well as yoga, spinning and free weights. Fitness evaluations and wellness rehab services include massage therapy and chiropractic care.
Mohesh (Moe) Koregaokar is the owner of the business “MoR’ Fitness,” and will operate the fitness club, Vlamis said.
While Pocono Wellness mostly has been more of a fitness club (including tennis), Koregaokar is going to focus more on tennis, offering instructional lessons as well as camps, Vlamis said.
“He is going to take tennis to the next level for kids and adults,” Vlamis said.
Koregaokar has more than 30 years of experience working with tennis professionals, Vlamis added.
