R.L. Reppert is a family-owned commercial wall and ceiling contractor based in Emmaus that has built many of the region’s largest commercial projects over its 53 years in business. President Richard Reppert leads a team of 45 employees.
The company’s origins stem from founder Richard Reppert Sr.’s interest in the construction industry—specifically, how drywall partitions create defined rooms. Despite lacking prior experience, he launched the company with four part-time employees focused on residential projects. Recognizing the commercial sector’s potential, Reppert made a strategic pivot, building a reputation for employee well-being, quality, and service.
Technology adoption has been a significant change. While the construction industry has historically lagged in technological integration, R.L. Reppert’s investment in technology has bridged the gap between production demands and workforce constraints, all while adapting to the accelerated pace of commercial construction.
A family-atmosphere approach has driven employee retention, with many team members dedicating 30, 40, and 45 years to the company. “Our employees are the cornerstone of our operations,” Reppert said. The company actively supports local career and technical institutes, hosts an annual Christmas drive for a local elementary school, and sponsors community organizations throughout the region.
