President
R.L. Reppert Inc.
“My responsibilities are to oversee the daily operations of the entire company,” said Reppert. “However, my main responsibility is to ensure that each employee has a job and is able to provide for their families while working for our company. I work with the estimators to review the projects they are bidding, negotiate contracts with our general contractors, work with the project managers to ensure they have what they need to successfully run their projects, develop relationships with owners and general contractors through various organizations, and continue our company culture of a family-type atmosphere all while ensuring our customers always receive quality and service … . These responsibilities are something I enjoy … and involve a lot of critical thinking along with problem solving.”
In the last year, Reppert said, employee changes tested him. “With our company being in business for 50 years and having various employees here for over 40 years, it is inevitable that employees retire or move on to another career. … Along with these employees having a tremendous amount of skill and knowledge, they are really like family. Having been around some of them for the majority of my life, you build a connection with them … . When they are retiring or moving on, you are happy for them but it always feels like losing a family member. This is overcome by our retired staff always being invited to all our company functions and continuing to engage them … even after their retirement.”
