President and CEO
Mid Penn Bank Corp Inc. and Mid Penn Bank
As president and CEO, Ritrievi leads the senior management team in providing the strategic vision for the long term growth and sustainable profitability of the company, while establishing the winning culture of a community bank that truly cares for all of its communities. He has served in his current position for 14 years.
He said the last year has been marked by war in Europe, economic uncertainty, and a 500 basis point increase in interest rates, creating a lot of stress for individuals and companies across the bank’s footprint. “In times like these a strong, well-managed and resilient community bank becomes even more important. With two recent and significant bank failures, we have the opportunity to speak to our customers to make sure they feel confident that we are just that: strong, resilient, well managed, safe and sound,” Ritrievi said.
“The performance of the team throughout the challenging environment of 2022 was amazing. We were recently ranked the 6th best bank out of 196 banks our size across the country. That was based upon 2022 performance and overall strength of capital. All of the great planning in the world doesn’t mean a hill of beans without a smart, motivated and hardworking team making it all happen. That is where I place most of my pride–in the performance of that team; the whole team,” he said.
