Essent Place, the 10,500-square-foot technology research and development center, serves as the corporate center and home for the business management software solutions and services company.
The company said its new home will accommodate the expanding Essent staff, which has grown more than 30 percent the last two years. The site is designed to support the Essent Project Implementation Cycle, through which Essent analyzes customer problems, designs and develops solutions and supports customers throughout the software life cycle.
Essent began planning Essent Place in 2013. It broke ground on the site at 161 N. Commerce Way this year and moved in at the end of October, according to a news release.
A company spokesman did not return requests for comment. It is unknown what will happen to the William Penn Highway site.
