St. Luke’s Physician Group (SLPG) has acquired Lehigh Valley Nephrology Associates making its providers part of St. Luke’s Nephrology Associates (SLNA).
St. Luke’s Nephrology Associates now has 10 sites across Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon and Schuylkill counties and more than 30 providers. Providers are experts in the diagnosis, management and treatment of various forms of kidney disease.
The acquisition and larger practice will enable SLNA to recruit top-notch providers, improve its dialysis care delivery, and expand nephrology care across all St. Luke’s University Health Network’s campuses, said Dr. Robert Gayner, chief of Nephrology. “It provides us with all the tools we need to provide the best patient care that we can.”
The 10 sites are in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Quakertown, Bartonsville, Palmerton, Jim Thorpe, Tamaqua and Orwigsburg in Pennsylvania, and Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Fourteen providers who were part of Lehigh Valley Nephrology Associates will now be part of SLPG. Lehigh Valley Nephrology Associate’s staff and advanced practitioners were already part of the St. Luke’s Physician Group.
