St. Luke’s University Health Network plans to open a St. Luke’s Care Now on Monday in Lopatcong, New Jersey
The new St. Luke’s Care Now is located at 200 Strykers Road, Suite 2, and is the network’s 16th walk-in health care facility.
“St. Luke’s Care Now-Phillipsburg will provide improved access to quality medical care quickly and at a cost that is generally less than that of an emergency room visit,” said Joe Cunningham, senior director of urgent care and occupational medicine services for SLUHN.
In addition to walk-in medical care, St. Luke’s Care Now – Philipsburg offers walk-in X-ray services and occupational medicine services to employers.
Dr. Robert Dolansky, medical director of St. Luke’s Care Now, said the centers are extensions of local primary care offices.
“We can take care of urgent medical needs – such as coughs, colds, bumps and bruises – when the patient’s primary care physician is not available. We will then get the patient back to his or her primary care physician for routine care, or help the patient establish care with a primary care physician,” Dolansky said.
In addition to the new Phillipsburg location, St. Luke’s Care Now operates centers in Allentown, Bethlehem, Brodheadsville, Center Valley, Emmaus, Hamburg, Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, New Ringgold, Pennsburg, Quakertown, Whitehall and Wind Gap, Pennsylvania; and Belvidere and Clinton, New Jersey.
