Less than a year after it began construction, St. Luke’s University Health Network opened a new medical office building in December at a busy intersection at Eighth and Eaton avenues in Bethlehem.
The building at 834 Eaton Ave. includes St. Luke’s Obstetrics and Gynecological Associates, St. Luke’s ABW Pediatric Associates and St. Luke’s Nephrology Associates.
The nephrology practice relocated from its office at 701 Ostrum St. in Bethlehem.
Bucks Development & Contracting Corp. of Bethlehem built the three-story, 21,000-square-foot office on land that had been the site of a vacant bank and two houses.
In the last few years, SLUHN has opened buildings for dialysis, neurology and heart and vascular health on the south side of Eighth and Eaton avenues across from the vacant Martin Tower.
Dallas Pulliam, director of network real estate for SLUHN, said the new building’s centralized location would provide convenient access for patients.
The network’s nephrology practices are growing and have added new health care providers, according to Kelly Adams, practice coordinator at SLUHN.
The network expanded the hours at its Quakertown practice, which moved into a new suite in its Park Avenue building.
“We now have the opportunity to serve more patients,” Adams said.
