The event, which is run by Lehigh University and Factory LLC will be held at Factory LLC in Bethlehem.
Competing will be Dot. Inc. founder Abdulrasaq (Dulra) Amolegbe. His company helps African immigrant students digitize their finances.
Bree Nidds, founder of Flight Risk Game, is developing a game to help people determine their travel compatibility before making vacation plans.
Forca Foods founder Guilherme Maia Silva is working to develop sustainable snack products.
JMC (JMad Creations LLC) founder Jonathan Maderic runs a project development firm that invents what he calls the innovations of tomorrow.
Splay, founded by Alexander Wesley, is developing a foldable television.
April Schiel, founder of Bedding Blocker has created a product that can be used in barn management.
VoizeBox founder Aly Kenawy is developing a social media platform that prioritizes voice communication.
Those finalists will be competing for a total of $33,000 in startup prize money as well as a $5,000 award from Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Penn State Lehigh Valley‘s Launch Box will also offer a $3,000 founders award and three $500 Boost awards.
The grand prize is $20,000. The first runner up will receive $3,000 and the second runner up will receive $2,000.
