State launches PA One-Stop Shop Registration Checklist for new businesses

Listen to this articleOpening a business in Pennsylvania just became a bit easier. The state launched the PA Business One-Stop Shop Registration Checklist on Nov. 4 to help small business owners and entrepreneurs understand more easily which necessary licenses, permits, forms, and contact information are needed in the business start-up process.
The checklist is a new tool to supplement the already-established PA Business One-Stop Shop that was launched in October 2018. The One-Stop Shop enables entrepreneurs and business owners to reach out to just one source, rather than multiple agencies and organizations, as they work to begin their business.
“The registration checklist allows entrepreneurs and small business owners to feel confident in the preliminary steps of registering their business, which can be an overwhelming process,” said Wolf of the checklist, which is personalized for each prospective business’s needs.
According to the state, 99.6 percent of all businesses in the commonwealth are small businesses.
