A partner in Wiener and Wiener for 39 years, Stephen Wiener describes his leadership style as “participative … with all encouraged to collaborate and assist each other. We are a small office and work on a cooperative basis. We work in a supportive environment, everyone having responsibilities and giving suggestions that improve the office function. At the same time, as a law office it is our role as partners managing the firm to be ultimately responsible to getting work timely completed and done at the high-quality level that we demand.”
Of his choice to pursue the law, he explained, “I was always very interested in how business operated and also working with people. I had the privilege to be able to join my father and brother in the law practice, which provided me with both the opportunity and responsibility to handle matters directly. I attended Wharton School of Business, which provided a great base to understand and counsel clients and individuals on a huge range of issues. As a family firm we have a unique perspective to understand our many closely held businesses.”
Outside of work, Wiener likes being with family. And “spending as much time as we do in an office-based practice, I enjoy being outdoors, including hiking and biking throughout the region.”
