Several companies headquartered in the Lehigh Valley, or which have a large presence in the Lehigh Valley have ranked on the Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ equality on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2022 Corporate Equality Index .

As companies look to the Lehigh Valley to move or expand headquarters and manufacturing operations, a key part of their decision-making is the question of workforce. If the workforce exists, that’s where they will go, and it’s a top reason many major companies recently announced plans to build in the region.

The economy of the Lehigh and Northampton counties is growing significantly, with several factors contributing to the strength of several large sectors, including construction, manufacturing and health care. Last year showed strong growth and 2020 has potential to bring more, experts say.
