Allentown Art Museum announces move
The museum said it plans to relocate to a new building at the intersection of 10th Street and Hamilton Street, where it hopes to expand access to the arts and serve as a cultural anchor for the Lehigh Valley.
Music hall, boutique hotel pitched for downtown Allentown
City Center Investment Corp. will be seeking preliminary approval from the Allentown Planning Commission Feb. 14 for plans to bring a smaller scale concert and events venue and a boutique hotel to the area it refers to as Downtown West.

The Allentown Art Museum will be undergoing renovations this summer thanks to a $400,000 grant from the state Keystone Communities Program.
Allentown Art Museum selects Aspen Art Museum curator as its new president, CEO
Since January 2019 he has been senior curator at the Aspen Art Museum in Aspen, Colo., where he was responsible for the museum’s exhibition program. Before that he was director and chief curator of the art galleries at the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis.
Allentown Art Museum president/CEO resigns
David Mickenberg, president and CEO of The Allentown Art Museum for nearly seven years, has resigned. The nonprofit museum’s board of directors hired Diane Scott, former superintendent of the Allentown School District, as interim executive director.
