St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN) received a $799,000 grant from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to provide state-of-the-art telehealth services. 

Lehigh Carbon Community College was one of two community colleges in Pennsylvania to receive additional federal grant funds to support students impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to help address long-term challenges the pandemic has created.

Fueled, in part, by loans designed to help small business through the pandemic, American Bank of Allentown reported record earnings for 2020, an increase of 11% over 2019.

Pennsylvania’s fire, rescue and EMS companies will be eligible for $50 million worth of grant funding through the Office of State Fire Commissioner, Gov. Tom Wolf announced on Thursday.

These “lost wages assistance” funds are in addition to a state's standard payouts for those unemployed, and are designed to be a temporary supplement after the expiration of the $600 weekly federal benefit that was issued under the CARES Act.

Gov. Tom Wolf announced on Tuesday that $40 million in CARES Act funding is planned to be distributed to Pennsylvania dairy farmers and state programs.

State officials provided more guidelines for the $225 million small businesses grant program announced earlier this week, which officials say will start accepting applications by the end of June.

The Wolf administration will use $225 million from its federal CARES Act allocation to provide liquidity to Pennsylvania small businesses that are financially struggling in the aftermath of the forced shutdown orders instituted to slow the spread of COVID-19.
