Bedding Acquisition LLC, doing business as Hollander Sleep & Décor, will close its Pottsville plant this spring, permanently laying off 112 employees.

Wells Fargo is closing two of its branches in the Lehigh Valley this spring “in light of changing customer needs, market factors and economic trends,” a statement from the bank said.

Fulton Bank will be closing its branch at 280 Line St., Easton, according to the Weekly Bulletin of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

C.H. Briggs Co., a Reading-based independently owned wholesale distributor of interior specialty building materials for more than 55 years, announced this month that it will close.

PNC Bank will close its branch at 2925 William Penn Highway, Easton, sometime this year, according to the Dec. 10, 2022, weekly bulletin from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

Gov. Tom Wolf issued a stay-at-home order for six counties and extended the closure of schools in the state for another two weeks to help fight the spread of COVID-19. He did not mention any timetable for the closure of non-life sustaining businesses. Those closures were ordered “until further notice.”
